What is the full bill, beyond the headline?
You can see a medicine price. You cannot tell whether the visit, tests, or ongoing care are part of it.
Ask for the medicine cost and the care cost separately. Find out which charges change when the offer is over.
A cash-price starting point
On September 26, 2026, the maker’s cash prices for Zepbound (tirzepatide) were $299–$699 per 28-day supply.
These prices were for vials, small medicine bottles, and KwikPens, pens that hold several doses.
The price depended on the prescribed strength and refill terms.
The strength is the amount of medicine marked on the prescription in milligrams (mg). These numbers identify prices, not a dose to choose.
The $449 offer covered strengths marked 7.5, 10, 12.5, or 15 mg, under the terms checked on September 26, 2026.
To keep that price on a refill, the next purchase had to be completed within 45 days of the previous delivery.
If the refill was late, the regular price was $499 for 7.5 mg, or $699 for 10, 12.5, or 15 mg.
These prices did not apply to the single-dose pen, which holds one dose.
The savings terms carried a December 31, 2026 end date, so a later price needs a fresh check.
The figures are the drug maker’s posted terms. They do not include a visit or establish that you can get the medicine.
List price is a different number
List price is the drug maker’s published price before patient discounts or insurance. It does not tell you what your bill will be.
Few people pay the list price.
The maker listed a Zepbound (tirzepatide) price range of $499–$1,086.37 per prescription fill, as read on September 26, 2026.
The maker’s list-price figures were dated January 1, 2026.
The maker did not say which bottle or pen, or which strength, cost the lowest or highest amount. You cannot use that range to work out the list price of your exact prescription.
Ask for the amount you would actually pay. Then ask what price the advertised discount is being compared with.
Ask what the care fee covers
An online care fee may leave out the medicine. The September 26, 2026 check covered six national services for online weight care. Five billed a membership fee each month, and all five billed medicine separately.
That sample of six cannot establish fees across all services. Ask the service you are considering whether medicine is included in its fee.
Request a written quote that names the product and form, the care fee, any tests, and delivery or supply costs. Ask how much later visits cost.
Make a question sheet for the bill
Pick the parts of the bill that still feel unclear. Make a sheet to take into the conversation.
All topics are in the sheet below.
Your cost questions
- What is the cash price for the exact brand and form on my prescription?
- Does that quote include the full supply, and when does the offer end?
- Is care billed by visit or through a membership?
- What does the fee cover, and is the medicine billed on top?
- Which tests are being requested, and what does each cost?
- Can I bring recent results rather than pay for the same test again?
- Are delivery and any needed supplies included in the quote?
- Has my plan confirmed payment for this product and this use?
- What will I owe if the plan says no?
- How do I cancel, and when do charges stop?
- What happens to a prepaid fee if a prescription is not offered?
